Freja and Julia founded People of the Earth as mothers and surfers living in Byron Bay, spending their days in the ocean and the sun. When they turned the bottle of sunscreen around and read the ingredients, they knew they could not unsee it. From that moment they set out to create something better.
The brand's formulations are reef-safe, plastic-free and responsibly sourced, designed for use close to the ocean, the river, the forest, while leaving the lightest possible trace upon any of them. Fair wages for producers and ecologically safe practices across the entire supply chain are non-negotiable.
