A stoneware bowl made in Vicki Fanning's Matakana studio, with a generous, comfortable form suited to the kind of meal that deserves to be eaten slowly. Its depth and weight give it a warmth in the hands that a lighter bowl simply cannot offer.

It works well for soup, salad, or a substantial side, equally at home in a considered lunch alone or a relaxed meal at the table.

Each piece is unique in form. Variation in glaze tone and surface texture is a natural quality of the work.
