Frolic Beaker Cup
A ceramic cup shaped after the form of an old fashioned medical beaker, handmade and glazed in Vicki Fanning's Matakana studio. Its quietly utilitarian silhouette is softened by the natural clay and the colour of the glaze, sitting comfortably between the functional and the considered.
Sturdy and versatile, it holds its own as a drinking vessel or a container for pens, brushes, or a small handful of stems. The simple form means it settles easily into a kitchen, studio, bathroom, or desk without feeling out of place.
Each piece is unique in form. Variation in glaze tone and surface texture is a natural quality of the work.
