Frolic Glass Spoon | Large

A handmade flameworked glass spoon, made by Vicki Fanning in her Matakana studio. Lightweight and quietly refined, each spoon is formed by hand from a glass rod over a flame, giving it a delicate, considered quality that sets it apart from anything mass produced.

Its slender form makes it well suited to stirring tea or coffee, serving a pinch of salt or spice, or presenting a small dish at the table. The glass warms quickly to the touch, a small reminder of the hand that shaped it.

Each spoon is unique in form. Minor variation in thickness and proportion is part of the flameworking process.
