Maeve Matcha Bowl

The Maeve Matcha Bowl combines beauty and practicality. Its wide form makes whisking easy, while a built in pourer allows a smooth, precise pour into a cup. It could also lend itself to a pourer for tea, hot chocolate and sauces.

Each piece is hand thrown by Annie-Maeve in her Auckland studio and carries the subtle variation in glaze and form that comes with handmade work.

Directions

Sift 1 to 2 teaspoons of matcha powder into the bowl and add approximately 60ml of hot water, around 80°C. Using a matcha whisk, whisk in a W or M motion for 20 to 30 seconds until frothy and smooth. Enjoy straight from the bowl or pour into a cup.
