This original Mt Ngāuruhoe, Tongariro Crossing artwork is drawn by hand in Indian ink by Monique Jansen, founder of MONNI. Sacred to Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāuruhoe is said to take its name from the high priest Ngātoroirangi, who called fire from his homeland Hawaiki to save himself from freezing as he climbed the mountain.

Printed as a card, it carries the same detail and quiet stillness of the original drawing, ready to send, frame, or keep.
