Ingredients

Rooibos • Cinnamon • Ginger • Cloves • Star anise • Cardamom pods.

Directions

Brew 1 teaspoon per cup, at 80°C, for 5 to 6 minutes. Perfect on its own or with your favourite milk. Also delicious as iced tea, add one teaspoon per cup of room temperature water and infuse for at least a couple of hours, ideally overnight in the fridge, then pour over ice to serve.

Tea Ritual: bloom the flavour by preheating the pot with boiling water before use. After brewing, return the spent herbs, leaves or flowers to the earth, whether to compost, a worm farm or the garden, and use the cooled leftover tea to hydrate and nourish the plants.
