Returning to Harmony: The Practice of Ho'opnopono
Returning to Harmony: The Practice of Ho’oponopono
In a world that often pulls us outward - into noise, pressure, and constant movement - there is a quiet, powerful practice that invites us back inward. Ho’oponopono, a traditional Hawaiian healing method, is a practice of reconciliation, forgiveness, and returning to balance.
At its essence, Ho’oponopono is about restoring harmony within ourselves and in our relationships - with others, with our environment, and with life itself.
The word Ho’oponopono can be translated as “to make right” or “to correct errors.” Traditionally, it was practiced within families and communities as a way of resolving conflict and clearing emotional residue. In its modern form, it has evolved into a deeply personal practice - one that works at the level of memory, subconscious patterning, and energetic imprint.
The foundation of the practice is disarmingly simple: I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.
These phrases are not directed outward in blame or analysis, but inward - toward the parts of ourselves holding tension, memory, or disconnection. Through repetition and presence, Ho’oponopono gently dissolves what is held, allowing space for clarity, peace, and realignment.
In my work, I often see how much we carry - emotionally, energetically, and even physically - without fully realising it. Just as jewellery holds and reflects light, the body and nervous system hold experiences. Over time, these can create subtle layers of contraction or imbalance.
Ho’oponopono offers a way to release these layers without force. It doesn’t require revisiting every detail of the past or analysing every emotion. Instead, it works through acknowledgement, responsibility, and a willingness to let go.
My approach to this work is shaped by both training and lived experience. I have studied Ho’oponopono in Hawaii, learning directly from a local Kahuna, and have practiced energy healing modalities including Ho’oponopono, Reiki, yoga nidra, meditation, yoga, and intuitive healing frameworks, alongside years of personal exploration in holistic wellbeing. This work has unfolded naturally alongside my jewellery practice - both rooted in presence, intention, and transformation.
Working one-on-one with clients, I create a calm, grounded space where this process can unfold gently. Sessions combine Ho’oponopono prayer, energetic clearing, and intuitive insight - supporting a return to balance that feels both subtle and deeply felt.
There is no need to strive or push in this work. Often, the most profound shifts happen quietly - in moments of softening, of release, of remembering something that was never truly lost.
For those who feel drawn to this practice, Ho’oponopono prayer can also become a simple yet powerful daily companion. A way to clear the day, to reset the nervous system, and to return to a place of steadiness within.
At its heart, this work is about coming back into alignment - with yourself, with your life, and with the deeper intelligence that moves through everything.
And from that place, something new can begin.
