Maeve Ceramics is a collection of handmade pottery by Annie-Maeve, made one piece at a time in her Auckland studio, not far from the Matakana coast where her family calls home.
Every piece is thrown by hand on the wheel, a process that is slow by nature and generous in what it gives back. Annie-Maeve is deeply committed to her craft, travelling the world to learn from other ceramic traditions and bringing that knowledge back to the studio with her.
What is immediately striking about her work is the consistency she achieves across each piece. For a young ceramicist working entirely by hand, the precision and evenness across her collection is remarkable, a quiet sign of someone with a rare and genuine gift.
The marks of the making are still present, the subtle variations in glaze and texture that remind you something was shaped by a human hand, but they sit within a body of work that feels considered and assured.
From functional homewares to more decorative pieces, each object carries the quiet joy of a practice devoted entirely to the craft.
