Monni Botanicals is a seed to bottle skincare brand rooted in seasonality, plant knowledge, and thoughtful craft. Each product is made slowly and with intention, drawing on traditional herbal practices and a deep respect for the land that sustains us.
Working with botanicals harvested at their seasonal peak, the range supports the skin through natural rhythms of change. Native New Zealand plants such as kawakawa, mānuka, and horopito sit alongside carefully selected botanicals like calendula and wildflowers, chosen for their long-standing roles in gentle skin care.
Herbs cultivated for the range are grown using organic and biodynamic practices, with a focus on caring for and improving soil health. Where plants are foraged or wild-harvested, this is done with care and respect, following Rongōā Māori principles.
Rongōā Māori refers to the traditional Māori system of healing, grounded in a deep connection between people, plants, and the natural world. It encompasses the use of native botanicals, alongside practices that honour balance, wellbeing, and the mauri, life force, of both the land and the body.
Infusions and distillates are crafted by hand, often over many weeks, using water gathered from the local environment and methods that honour both the plant and the process. Because of this seasonal and small-batch approach, each product naturally varies in scent and colour, reflecting the time, place, and plants from which it was made.
Monni Botanicals is designed to support balance, comfort, and everyday care, a quiet ritual that connects skin, season, and landscape. Each product is handmade by The Herbologist in Aotearoa, New Zealand, offering a grounded and considered approach to natural skincare.
